HOW HE GOT HERE: Acquired from the Rapid City Rush in January 2019 in exchange for F Justin Breton
CONTRACT STATUS: Maine Mariners

McInnis finally had the chance to come “home” after a five season journey in the ECHL took him through Florida, Utah, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Indiana, Texas, and South Dakota. On January 31st, 2019, he was traded to the Mariners from Rapid City in exchange for forward Justin Breton. The Boston native scored three goals and added 11 assists in 28 games for Maine. McInnis captained Minnesota State-Mankato in his last of four college seasons in 2013-14, posting 38 points in 41 games that year. His best ECHL seasons came with the Orlando Solar Bears from 2014-16. He saw a resurgence in 2017-18 with Indy, but decided to call it a career after 2018-19. McInnis was named Head Coach & GM of the NA3HL’s Canton Cubs on May 30th, 2019.
