SEASON REFLECTIONS: MARC-OLIVIER CREVIER-MORIN

Q: Overall how do you feel the season went?

A: I think we had a good season in general. We were getting real tight as a group there at the end, we were putting up some wins, and we were in a playoff spot. I think we would have made a good run in the playoffs because we have such a tight knit group. For my personal season, it was okay. The injury kind of ruined it a little bit. It took me a few months to adjust to the North Division compared to the Mountain Division, but I really enjoyed it.

Q: What was your favorite moment during this season?

A: I might sound like every other guy, but it’s the trip to Newfoundland, even though I got injured. It was so fun, to be a part of what they did and to come back after the first game. We had our rookie party, and I think that’s what got our group close together, so that was a really fun moment. We have a routine. It was always fun to get to the rink every day. We sit in the room and sometimes just [joke around] for 20-30 minutes after practice with everybody. It wasn’t like one special moment, it was just things that we would do. Once a week everybody would sit in the room and we would just throw the ball around. It was fun!

Q: What was your favorite promotional night?

A: I really liked the Miracle jerseys. I didn’t play that game, unfortunately. I thought those were really nice. I also liked the Make-a-Wish jerseys. It was really fun, they’re all fun and sometimes a little extra, but if it’s for a good foundation, it’s even more fun to play in.

Q: Which of your teammates were you most impressed with?

A: I have to say Ryan Culkin, because of how consistent he is every night and can play 35 minutes and just wants to be back out there for another 35. You look at him and he’s just a slim, normal guy, but puts so many minutes in, and is always going so hard. He’s very good and a great player to play with.

Q: Did you meet any personal goals? If yes, what were they?

A: The only thing that I’m looking for is that I don’t want to get scored on when I am on the ice. I was a +13, so that is something that I’m really proud of. I take a lot of pride in that as well. I just try to help that team as much as I can. I was also happy to score four goals this year, but what I am most proud of is not getting scored on and finishing with the highest plus-minus on the team.

Q: Is there anything that you want to say to the fan base?

A: We say it all the time! We really enjoy everything that they do, all they do for us, the support. The last part of the year, I was doing the autograph sessions and the fans were really genuine. They talk to us and support us. The city of Portland is amazing, and everybody loved it. It’s a really fun place to play!
