MAINE MARINERS ADD MARK RIEPE AS EQUIPMENT MANAGER
SPHL award winner joins Mariners hockey staff
Portland, ME – May 16, 2018 Mariners announce the addition of Mark Riepe as equipment manager for the Mariners inaugural season. Riepe will be joining the Mariners after being named SPHL Equipment Manager of the Year for the Peoria Rivermen. Riepe will add to the hockey operations staff for the Mariners joining Vice President of Hockey Operations, Danny Briere, and Head Coach Riley Armstrong.
“We’re excited to have Mark join the Mariners for the upcoming season,” said Briere. “Riepe brings in a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Mariners that will offer our players and staff first class support both on and off the ice.”
“I’m excited to join the Mariners and be a part of Mariners hockey,” said Riepe. “I learned a lot in Peoria and I look forward to bringing that knowledge to the Mariners to give our players the best chance for success.”
Riepe is a native of Fort Worth, Texas where he worked closely with the NAHL’s Lone Star Brahmas before making the move to Peoria. In his role with the Mariners Riepe will head up all equipment management for players and staff at home and on the road.
