PORTLAND, ME – February 17, 2023 – The Mariners made two more forward transactions on Friday, signing Austin Albrecht, while Mitch Fossier was loaned to the Providence Bruins. Albrecht has spent time with four different organizations this season, including the Indy Fuel.

Prior to college, Albrecht had a long and successful career junior hockey career with the North American Hockey League’s Wichita Falls Wildcats. In the 2015-16 season, he finished 7th in the league in scoring, when he posted 60 points (26 goals, 34 assists) in 58 games. He would go onto to play in the United States Hockey League for his final season of juniors, for the Sioux Falls Stampede and Muskegon Lumberjacks.
Mitch Fossier earns his first American Hockey League call up of the season with Providence.
