PORTLAND, ME – November 20, 2024 – Defenseman Drew Bavaro was re-assigned to the Maine Mariners from the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins on Wednesday. Bavaro, who is on an NHL contract with Boston, previously played one game with the Mariners on November 9th at Worcester.
A 24-year-old blue-liner from Bradenton, FL, Bavaro signed with Boston last March after finishing his collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame. With 20 points in 35 games, Bavaro led all Fighting Irish defensemen in scoring. He appeared in seven games with Providence last season and has skated in an additional six to begin 2024-25. He has one assist.
In a corresponding roster move, defenseman Dalton Gally was released
The Mariners are home on Wednesday night for a tilt against the Worcester Railers. The puck drops at 7 PM for “Com Con Night” and the third edition of the VIP Rivalry Cup.
