PORTLAND, ME – September 13, 2018 – The Maine Mariners announced on Thursday that all 72 regular season games during the 2018-19 season will be broadcast for free with streaming audio through the internet streaming service, Mixlr. Fans can access the Mariners Radio Network at Mixlr.com/MaineMariners or directly from the team website at MarinersOfMaine.com/listen. The Mariners will broadcast additional content on Mixlr including coach’s shows and other audio features leading up to and throughout the season.
Providing all the play-by-play action will be Media Relations and Broadcast Manager Michael Keeley, who joined the Mariners front office in July. Keeley has been broadcasting hockey for nine years, including stints as the voice of NCAA DIII Oswego State (Oswego, NY), the NAHL’s Keystone Ice Miners (Connellsville, PA), and the NAHL’s Austin Bruins (Austin, MN).
Mixlr can be accessed on mobile and handheld devices via the Mixlr App on the Apple and Google Play stores, or by visiting MarinersOfMaine.com/listen in a web browser.
Fans can also watch video streams of all regular season games via ECHL.TV – a subscription-based service powered by Neulion. Along with the video, the choice of “home” or “away” audio broadcast is available.
The Mariners first preseason game against the Worcester Railers on Saturday, October 6th at 7:00 PM in Exeter, New Hampshire will be carried on Mixlr. The regular season kicks off on Saturday, October 13th at 6:00 PM against the Adirondack Thunder at Cross Insurance Arena.
